Data breach puts 2 million in LA at risk

NBC-TV Channel 4 in Los Angeles is reporting that a government agency data breach could effect as many as two million people.

In an exclusive investigation, Channel 4's Ana Garcia uncovered a security breach of confidential records at a government office in Los Angeles that could affect at least two million Southland residents. It's the kind of information an identity thief would love to get his hands on. The department in question is the Los Angeles County Department of Social Services (DPSS).
